2ND - SAN ANTONIO (WC2) "E" @ $27.38

1/29 TOP PICKS

So the BOS/HOU WC-B was my pick of the day @ $9.02, but now it's @ $12.42 which is still a good price. I think you'd be better off with BOS/PORT for "A" and "C" @ 31.20 and $10.69. I still like ORL/NO WC-$7.11 and EC-8.88 on "E" tix. Best to grab BOST/NO now too, before it adjusts too much for Cleveland's loss. When CLE/NO drops 5-9%, grab em...

Want in on the HOT Laker action?
LA/MIAMI (WC1) "C" tix are going for $16.38. The HEAT has the same record as DETROIT who's next two games are BOSTON and CLEVELAND. LA/DET "C" spread is $20.70/$58.70 BID/ASK

If Atlanta drops a game or two MIAMI is the #4 seed... These are in LA..."C" tickets... for under $20???

1/29 -PREDICTIONS

CLEVE +4.5 and SPURS +1.5
VIRGINIA TECH +1, GONZAGA -9.5, UCLA -9.5, USC -6, WA -1.5 , WA ST +10.5

(current - NBA 7-5, NCAA 0-1, Overall 7-6)

MUST BUY ALERT!!!

BOS/HOU WC "B" seats are down over 49% today and selling @ $9.02!!! This is less than ORL/HOU !!!

TEAM TICKETS

So far, I've been focusing mostly on Fantasy Seat matchups, as they offer the most leverage. However, I'd like to take a minute to point out some TEAM good buys on each side.
--First, the biggest steal in the Western Conference is DENVER. "E" seats are $13.79 right now. HOUSTON and UTAH are asking around $16.50 ea with bids @ around $11.50. Utah is more than Denver? Utah has about a 25% of not even making the playoffs! Those of you holding tickets, go ahead and SHORT Utah. On the other hand, NEW ORLEANS and DENVER both have a legitimate shot @ the #2 seed (SPURS have toughest schedule, DENVER'S is fairly soft)
--Second, I'd have to say PORTLAND @ $9.42. They picked up a game today to put the pressure on DENVER. Again, SAN ANTONIO has a tough schedule, and if DENVER slips at all, PORTLAND sits on top of their division battling S.A. and the HORNETS in a tight race for the 2nd and 3rd seed.
--Third, I'd have to say NEW ORLEANS @$28.91 and the SPURS @$28.36 both represent pretty good buys against the LAKERS $189.24 ask. Granted, LA's market is a lot bigger, but it should be LA/SA or LA/NO in the Conference finals. Sell one of em in the 2nd round and "freeroll" the other tickets.

EAST COAST:

The easy #1 choice here is MIAMI @ $7.60. I suppose you could make a case for ATLANTA @$8.75, but I think you'd be better off with the HEAT. Other than those two,I only recommend ORLANDO. It's currently @$43.56, but should drop a little if they lose to CLEVELAND tomorrow. Unfortunately, if they beat the CAVS, that will be the last time you see it offered under $45. (all tickets referenced are for "E" seats)

EVENING UPDATE

Seems to me the biggest loss was DENVER. Before tonight's game, they were knocking on the SPURS door for the #2 seed. Now, the Hornets take back the 3rd spot.
The biggest win might be PORTLAND. With HOUSTON'S loss, the Blazers have secured the #5 seed, and are now putting pressure on DENVER for the Division.

NBA = 7-5 , NCAA = 0-1, OVERALL = 7-6

1/28 Update

So the Spurs and Nuggets both pulled it out, while the Kings beat the Lakers in LA! Can they do it again tonight in Boston? Vegas has the spread @ 17... I'll take it!

For the other games, I'll take Pacers -5.5, Heat -8.5, Nets +2, Hawks even, Hornets -4, Pistons -1.5, Memphis +7, Rockets -5, Mavs -6.5, Blazers -11.5 and Bulls -3.

DUKE vs WAKE

OK, Vegas has the spread @ 1.5...I take Duke. I think I woulda taken them @up to 4.5 (3.5 for sure)

My current TOP3 buys today are:
CLE/NO EC1"E" @ 10.60
ORL/NO EC1"E" @ 8.88
ORL/NO WC1,WC2 "E" @ 7.03

1/27 update

so Orlando crushed Indiana and Cleveland stayed perfect at home.
...it's currently 54-45 Nuggets and 25-22 Utah over the Spurs.

JANUARY 27 picks

CLEVELAND!!!! (and Orlando)
Before tip-off against the Sacramento Kings(10-35) , Cleveland (EC-1) tickets were down around 8% in matchups against the Spurs and Hornets. These are MUST BUYS, with a priority on San Antonio, as they should beat the JAZZ in Utah tonight.
---WORST case scenario--- CLE and SA both lose and the tix drop again tomorrow. Then u wait til after the Nuggets/Hornets game. This would push SA down even further and you can buy nicer tix (either upgrade to EC or get hetter WC seats)
---Best case scenario---CLE and SA win and Denver loses. If this tri-fecta happens, San Antonio solidifies their #2 spot and you'll have covered your juice and then some.

You should also grab ORL/NO "C" tix for EC1 and EC2 @ $18.96. I'd forgive you if you waited til after tomorrow's game where NO hosts the Nuggets to see if it drops a little more, but the "C" ticket is the sweetspot (trading @ same as WC while A & E have 20% higher bid prices for EC). I believe Chris Paul will have another big game and the hornets will prevail, which is why I give these tix a BUY for today.

I'm also kinda liking the ORL/Port EC1 "A" tix @ $10.27. the only other Portland tix in EC1-A are Boston @ 27.62/88.66 BID/ASK. it's the only 5:1 leverage against the Celtics in Boston out there. (bid prices) LA 3:1 , HOU 3:1 , NO 2:1, SA & DEN are N/A. Portland is actually 5.38:1, but BOST/PORT up about 5% today. After I post this I'm gonna buy and list a sell @ $18 which is about 5:1 on the Boston SELL price, so it should be back to 5:1 BID price with a slight recovery from the BOST/PORT advance.

ORL/PORT also has the lowest BID/SELL spread of all ORL "A" and is between the Lakers and San Antonio in lowest spread of all BOS "A" tix...but why is Utah the lowest?...hmmm

The only other tickets I have as a BUY today is anything LA/LA (Angels/Dodgers) I don't really have a preference here as to AL or NL. Either side are still very cheap considering at some point the Dodgers will be in 1st in their division too. The possibility of this classic match-up will drive these tix over 100%. You'll see a good chunk of that profit early as soon as Manny signs. I think they settle on a 3yr 60-75Mil deal, depending on bonuses. I picked up a couple AL-1 'F' tix @ $7.35ea.

Bring it!!!
